Many people don’t realise that the Coca-Cola business is a local business. No matter
where in the world we operate, our brands are produced, packed and distributed by
bottlers that are deeply rooted in the communities in which they operate.
South Africa is not different, and a key contributor to our success is our network
of four bottlers: Amalgamated Beverage Industries (ABI), Coca-Cola Fortune, Peninsula
Beverages and Coca-Cola Shanduka Beverages SA. Each bottler is responsible for a
specific geographic territory and, since many can trace their histories back to
the emergence of Coca-Cola in South Africa, they’re an intrinsic and valuable feature
of our past, our present and our future.
They’re also significant creators of opportunity in their communities, driving economic
development through employment, procurement and other commercial activity.
In addition to their bottler roles and responsibilities, they are our partners in
the true sense, sharing our vision and mission for our Company, our country and
our planet by actively contributing to Coca-Cola South Africa’s initiatives and
sponsoring their own interventions and programmes.
